Something is missing on the signs for Measure O in Oakdale. The committee must have left it out intentionally to deceive the voters on what this half-cent sales tax would be used for.

Maybe it's for the negotiation with the unions on more officers' pensions, higher wages, insurance, etc., and to get rid of the union representative who is not getting his way. It's discriminatory to use a measure like this for two departments and using scare tactics to win over Measure O.

Vote "no" in November or when you receive your mail-in ballot, because everything you purchase you will pay a higher sales tax on, even for take-out food. Next time when you go to the grocery store, check your tag and see how many little T's, which means taxable item.

No on Measure O. It means higher sales tax.
