The Children's Crisis Center of Stanislaus County, a nonprofit that provides shelter for abused, neglected and at-risk children, will hold its 20th annual private-court tennis tournament fund-raiser Sept. 24. The entrance fee is $50 per player.
What sets this event apart is that the players compete on beautiful, privately owned courts in the community. Clay, grass and standard surface courts are offered, although not all players likely will play on all three surfaces.
Local families offer the experience of playing tennis at their properties to support this tournament.
