Modesto Nuts outfielder Kent Matthes was voted the California Leagues most valuable player and pitcher Chad Bettis got the nod as the leagues pitcher of the year as the league released its annual yearly honors Wednesday afternoon.
In addition, shortstop Josh Rutledge and third baseman Nolan Arenado earned spots on the leagues all-star team at their respective positions.
