The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors will meet at 6:30 p.m. today in the basement chamber of Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St., Modesto. Supervisors are scheduled to:

• Consider paying an additional $97,200 for another option on rebuilding the Hammett Road interchange with Highway 99 in Salida. Rajappan & Meyer Consulting Engineers' pay would rise to $1 million; construction estimates for its three designs range from $47.5 million to $93 million. Drawings should be done in the fall.

• Consider paying NorthStar Engineering Group $277,700 for environmental studies, right-of-way services and public relations to improve Crows Landing Road's intersection with West Main Street between Turlock and Patterson. The project is expected to cost $2.9 million.

• Approve a $6.3 million contract with the state to provide child care for about 1,473 children of low-income parents seeking jobs.

• Receive $85,400 in state money to provide job training for 30 people with serious psychiatric disabilities.

• Seek a $186,200 federal justice grant. If successful, the Modesto Police Department would spend its $127,600 share on personal video recorders; the county Sheriff's and Probation departments would use the rest to pay parts of the salaries of a resource officer at Tuolumne Elementary School and a domestic violence officer.

• Authorize Ceres Unified School District to issue $9.5 million in bonds.

• Give up an easement previously reserved for a well that never was built on Jessup Avenue, west of Keyes.
