Modesto Bee launches 'My Favorite Car' contest

In anticipation of Modesto’s annual Graffiti celebration that’s just around the corner, The Bee is searching for the coolest car in town. We invite all our readers to nominate their best ride in our “My Favorite Car” contest that starts today.

The top vote-getters’ cars will be featured in the Graffiti 2011 special section that will be published May 27 in The Bee and on modbee.com. Plus, the driver of the car with the most votes will be invited to drive it as part of The Bee’s entry in the annual 4th of July parade.

Here’s how to enter.

First, get a digital photo of your car and park the photo on your computer. Sorry – you cannot enter a print.

Go to www.bit.ly/myfavoritecar. Or you can click the contest logo on our homepage at www.modbee.com. You’ll find it near the bottom in the Contests & Promotions area.

Follow the prompts to create an account and register for the contest. That will only take a minute or two.

We need your name, email address and phone number so we can contact you if you win. And please note: you must register for the contest even if you already have a modbee.com account.

Once you’ve registered, click the “Submission” tab and follow the prompts to provide a brief description of your vehicle and upload your photo.

Photos go through a review before they appear on the site, so there may be a delay of a few hours before your photo appears.

You may submit photos and vote on them starting today. Each registered user may vote once per day through the end of the contest at midnight May 17.
