2 C.S. Lewis
London native David Payne portrays Christian author C.S. Lewis in a one-man show. Known for his fiction writings including "The Chronicles of Narnia" and "The Screwtape Letters," Lewis (1898-1963) delivered a message of encouragement, hope and redemption to audiences around the world.

3 Rapper Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan
Raekwon, a rapper from Wu-Tang Clan, comes to Modesto to promote his latest album, "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang." The album draws on the 41-year-old artist's early days in Staten Island, N.Y. "It's like me just going back to my history of being an emcee first, before I actually became part of Wu-Tang," he told Entertainment Weekly.

4 Art Trails
Visit 26 artists in 16 studios around Tuolumne County at the sixth annual Sonora Art Trails open studio event. There will be painting, photography, ceramics, metalwork, sculpture, mosaic, fiber and jewelry. Visitors can learn about art techniques and watch demonstrations.

5 'Memphis'
You don't have to go to New York City to watch "Memphis," winner of the 2010 Tony Award for best musical. The show will be screened nationwide at movie theaters, including one in Manteca, over the next few days. Set in the segregated 1950s, the show centers on a young white DJ who falls in love with everything he shouldn't: rock 'n' roll and a stunning black female singer.

6 'Ugly Duckling'

7 'Madama Butterfly'
Townsend Opera Players presents Giacomo Puccini's tragedy "Madama Butterfly." The show centers on the doomed marriage between a 15-year-old Japanese geisha and an American Navy lieutenant. While Butterfly (also known as Cio-Cio San) takes the relationship seriously, giving up her ancestral faith and converting to Christianity for her husband, Lt. Pinkerton sees it as a passing fling and leaves the country.
