Seniors perform a rally cry before the powder-puff football game at Hughson High School. Hughson High School is celebrating 100 years with various centennial events. Students were working on homecoming floats on Thursday night for a few hours after school before the powder-puff football game that pitted the junior girls versus the senior girls on the gridiron. The juniors beat the seniors 16-14 in front of over 500 in attendance. The homecoming football game will be held September 18 versus Bret Harte with festivities staring at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17, 2010.

Football is not just for boys, and some Hughson High School students proved it last week in a powder puff football game that pitted a group of junior girls against a squad of seniors. The juniors beat the seniors 16-14 in front of a crowd of more than 500. The game was part of the homecoming festivities that led up to the boys' game against Bret Harte Friday night.
