BMX BIKE SHOW

WELLNESS TOUR

WHERE: St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, parking lot, 709 J St.
INFO: Walgreens and the AARP will hold a wellness tour that will feature free health screenings to check glucose, total cholesterol, waist circumference, body mass index, blood pressure and bone density. Must be 18 or older. There will be free educational information on health and wellness issues and free one-year AARP memberships.

REPUBLICAN PARTY MEETING

WHEN: Monday, 6 p.m.
WHERE: The Eichel Building, 118 W. Orangeburg Ave.
INFO: The Republican Party of Stanislaus County meets the first Monday of each month. Mark Pruner, chairman of the California Republican Party Chairmen's Association and chairman of the Republican Party of Yolo County, will give a presentation on a new voter registration program developed by the California Republican Party. MEET RESCUED RAPTORS

WHEN: Thursday, 10 a.m.
WHERE: Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Highway 4
INFO: Rescued birds of prey will be featured at Calaveras Big Trees State Park. The wild birds will accompany handlers from the Native Bird Connections, an educational organization from the Bay Area specializing in wild birds. The program will last about 90 minutes. Admission to the event is free with payment of the $8 park entrance fee. A $3 donation is suggested for campers and docents. For more information, call 795-7980.
