A new quarter celebrating Yosemite National Park is in circulation.
About 1,200 people attended a ceremony at the park Thursday to introduce the coin, part of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
The coin depicts El Capitan on the "tails" side.
Like all quarters, the "heads" side features a profile of George Washington.
As part of the program, 56 quarters depicting national parks and other national sites will be rolled out over the next several years one for each state and territory and the District of Columbia.
This year's coins honor the four oldest national parks Hot Springs, Yellowstone, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon as well as Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon.
