In professional and personal life, country singer Faith Hill has achieved a level of success many would envy.
She has sold more than 30 million records to both country and pop fans and racked up a long list of hits, including "This Kiss," "The Way You Love Me," "Breathe," "Secret of Life," "Wild One" and "Piece of My Heart."
She has also had a 13-year marriage with country singer Tim McGraw and three daughters age 8-13.
She performs July 23 at the amphitheatre at Ironstone Winery in Murphys with opening act Jennette McCurdy from the hit Nickelodeon TV series "iCarly."
"I'm looking forward to performing at the Ironstone Winery," Hill, 42, wrote in an email interview. "I've never been there and I hear it's beautiful. I'll be bringing my band and we'll be performing all the hits that everyone is familiar with. And because we don't tour a lot, we can't wait to get on stage and enjoy the night."
Last month, she and her husband raised more than $2.2 million for Nashville flood victims with the Nashville Rising benefit concert. The star-studded show featured performances by Hill and McGraw as well as Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, LeAnn Rimes, Michael W. Smith, ZZ Top and more. Record rains the first two days of May forced thousands from their Nashville homes, struck some of the city's biggest landmarks and destroyed the gear of scores of musicians.
"The flooding in Nashville affected everyone and this town rallied," Hill said. "We wanted to contribute to the recovery here because this is our home. It really wasn't that hard to get together. Everyone that was a part of it wanted to be there and it was just a great night. There really is no place like Nashville, and we are proud to call it home."
She and McGraw have recorded several duets together, including "It's Your Love," "Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me" and "Let's Make Love." The couple's 2006 Soul2Soul II national tour was the highest grossing country music tour ever.
"We try to keep a lot of laughter in our lives and just simply enjoy one another," Hill said when asked for the secret to her marriage.
Hill has recently released her second fragrance called True, which combines Japanese yuzu, gardenia, lily, sheer mimosa and a couple of different types of woods.
She also has been hired to sing NBC's "Sunday Night Football" theme for the fourth year in a row.
"I am a huge football fan so this is something that's fun for me to be a part of," she said. "And I'm definitely ready for football season!"
Coming up in Hill's life is a new album and a family trip this fall to Australia.
"This will be our first time there and we are all excited," she said. "The girls can't wait."
