It's Modesto Bee night at the fair. Bring in two canned food items for the United Samaritans and receive $2 off an adult admission.
WHAT TO DO: Watch the trucks! It's a race against time for more than 50 "stump jumpers" on an obstacle course filled with bumps and jumps. Three classes will compete: Local Tuff Trucks, Pro-Arena Trucks and Quads. Two roaring monster trucks, Time Flys and Fired Up, are scheduled to make an appearance. Tickets are $8 for reserved seating, $6 for general admission and $4 for children 12 and under.
HIGHLIGHTS: Junior Breeding Meat Goats, 4 p.m.; Rainforest Adventure exhibit, 5-11 p.m.; Floral Arrangement Demonstration, 7 p.m.

VARIETY FREE STAGE: War, 8:30 p.m.
CENTER STAGE: Chico Avila, 8:30-11 p.m.
COMMUNITY STAGE: Garden Party Band, 5:45 to 8:30 p.m.
CHARTER STAGE: Steve Bayner Hypnotist Show, 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
HOURS: Gates open at 5 p.m.; exhibit buildings close at 11 p.m.; carnival closes at 1 a.m.
PARK 'N' RIDE: 4:30-midnight.; park and ride free from CSU, Stanislaus, (Crowell Road off Monte Vista Avenue) or Pitman High School (Christoffersen Parkway). Shuttles run every 15-20 minutes.
WHERE: From Highway 99, exit at Fulkerth Road in Turlock and head east. For fairgrounds parking, turn right on Soderquist Road, or go past Soderquist for more parking; $4 per vehicle.
ADMISSION: $12 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for ages 5 and younger.
