Northern San Joaquin Valley real estate firms make top brokers list

Several Northern San Joaquin Valley real estate companies are listed among the largest brokerage firms in America in the recently released 2010 Real Trends 500.

Modesto-based PMZ Real Estate ranked 27th in the nation for the number of properties it sold in 2009 and 54th for the value of those sales.

It reportedly was involved in 9,555 transactions worth $1.425 billion.

PMZ's transactions increased 25.7 percent over 2008, but the total dollar value of those deals dropped 6.4 percent.

PMZ was ranked as the country's 17th largest independent realty.

Century 21 M&M and Associates, headquartered in Oakdale, ranked 47th for the number of properties it sold and 76th for the value of those sales.

It reportedly was involved in 6,898 transactions worth nearly $1.138 billion. M&M was Century 21's top realty affiliate.

Prudential California Realty, based in Modesto, ranked 187 for transactions and 251 for the value of property sold.

It reportedly was involved in 2,388 sales worth more than $390 million.

Merced's Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty ranked 388 for transactions. It reportedly had 1,174 sales.

Also listed by Real Trends was Modesto's Coldwell Banker Vinson Chase with 788 sales, Turlock's Coldwell Banker Endsley & Associates with 642 sales, and Merced's Century 21 Salvadori Realty with 607 sales.
