Chart: Local Per-Pupil Spending By District

Not every school district gets the same amount of money to educate students. The U.S. Census Bureau compiled all sources of funding for schools and calculated how much each district spent per pupil during the 2007-08 school year. It released that data this week in its Public Education Finances: 2008 report. Here's how local districts stacked up, using Census Bureau calculations:
