• 2002 — City dismantles an encampment near the Golden State Boulevard Overcrossing.

• 2003 — Cold-weather shelter opens at the Zion Worship Center

• 2005 — City-owned B Street emergency shelter opens

• February 2006 — City proposes a $2.9 million permanent shelter

• May-June 2006 — City stops shelter plan and commissions a study from the Center for Public Policy Studies at California State University, Stanislaus

• August 2007 — CPPS report presented to the public

• April 2008 — B Street shelter closed

• May 2008 — City forms ad hoc committee to find a shelter site

• August 2008 — South Walnut Road site denied

• September 2008 — City Council votes to sell B Street site

• October 2008 — Turlock Homeless Action Committee meets
