Road Work - Delays, detours for week ahead

A sewer trunk rehabilitation project on Emerald Avenue is expected to cause delays on Emerald south of Highway 132 to Byron Lane and on Emerald at Highway 99. Flaggers will be directing traffic in both directions. Also, Woodland Avenue from Ninth Street to Graphics Drive will be closed Wednesday through Friday in both directions. Beginning Saturday, the eastbound lane will reopen and the westbound lane will be closed for six weeks. The project will be under way through June.

Water main trench repair on Florida Avenue at West Orangeburg Avenue, West Coolidge Avenue and Claradell Avenue will continue through late this month. Access to local businesses and medical offices will be provided. Motorists may experience delays.

Replacement of 8-inch water main on Latimer Avenue between Bystrum Road and Avon Street may cause drivers some delays. Completion is scheduled for late this month.

Asphalt paving and driveway work throughout Keyes continues and includes landscaping at the Bonita Ranch storm drain basin and at Hatch Park. All work is weather- dependent.

A sewer replacement project on Carver Road will close the road from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Bonanza Way to Mount Vernon Drive. Detours will be in place. Completion is expected in April.

Crack sealing on Briggsmore Avenue between Carver and Sisk roads will continue through late this month.

Street improvements, including the installation of curbs, gutters and storm drains, are under way in Empire. The main work involves improvements to a storm drain on E Street.
