Stanislaus State's Preikschas tennis player of the week

Cal State Stanislaus athlete Verena Preikschas has been named the Penn/California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 1-7.

Preikschas, a sophomore from Arnsberg, Germany, and the Warriors' No. 1 player, went undefeated in three singles and doubles matches.

She helped Stanislaus to two victories over Cal State San Bernardino and one against Sonoma State.

Preikschas won her singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores and teamed with last week's player of the week, Katie Eng, in two victories.
