ARCHERY

ORESTIMBA FIELD ARCHERS -- A new archery club has been established five miles west of Stevinson and four miles east of Newman, next to the Rooster Ranch at Twin Rivers. The members have constructed 14 field targets, 14 hunting targets and are currently constructing a broad head range. On March 14 the club will host its first 28-3D marked yardage shoot. BASEBALL

BASEBALL CLINICS -- Central Catholic High School coach Mike Glines holds "Back To Basics" baseball, softball, football individual and group instruction. Hitting, pitching, defense, quarterbacks and receivers. Call 577-5991.

CENCAL TRAINING -- Baseball/softball indoor training facility with some of the valley's most experience instructors. Pitching, hitting and catching instruction available. Call (209) 847-4332.

STANISLAUS STING -- 12-under baseball team based out of Turlock/Modesto area headed to Cooperstown Dreams Park on June 5, 2010, looking to fill out roster. Interested players plese contact John Temple at 648-4477 or Paul Willis at 556-2790.

RAINBOW FIELDS -- Spring & summer youth league sign-ups are open. Summer league begins on July 6 with a managers meeting on June 29. Games on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Game times for both leagues will be 5:30 p.m. & 7:15 p.m. Cost for either league is $1056 per team. There are also discounts for early sign up. Both are no-draft leagues. Rainbow Fields will provide each coach with a free agent list to assist with your tryouts. All teams are guaranteed a 12-game schedule with a single-elimination play off. We offer divisions for 8-under to 14-unders. BASKETBALL

BACKYARD CLINIC -- Backyard Sports Academy (formerly Backyard Baseball, still at 6212 West Main St., Turlock) holds coed clinics on Saturdays from 9-11 a.m. including drills and game instruction for $10.
