Solar power agreement delayed in order to work out details

The Modesto Irrigation District board Tuesday postponed a vote on the solar electricity plant proposed for 160 acres on North McHenry Avenue.

The delay will allow the project developer, SunPower Corp. of San Jose, to work out concerns about the project, including the length of the power purchase agreement on Tuesday's agenda.

The agreement could return to the board as early as Feb. 23.
