The Turlock City Council is giving Redevelopment Agency money to the Turlock school district. The community members who filed the lawsuit want Turlock citizens to know we believe this RDA project is against RDA and state law. The neighborhoods around the high school are not blighted; the Joe Debely Stadium at the high school is not inside the RDA boundary; the project has not gone through an environmental impact report and Councilman Ted Howze has a direct conflict of interest as a youth football board director.

Many people I have spoken with agree that RDA money should not be used to fund the turf and track at the high school stadium.

If you live in the neighborhood affected or are a citizen who needs more information, please meet with us at the Turlock Library on either of the next two Saturdays at 3 p.m. in the Study Room.
