Drug search in Delhi

Modesto police narcotics investigators and the Merced County sheriff's SWAT team served a search warrant Thursday afternoon at a home near Schendel School in Delhi.

Modesto police Sgt. Brian Findlen said the search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation led by the the department's Narcotics Enforcement Team.

The Merced County sheriff's Special Weapons and Tactics team was called to assist the police in serving the search warrant.

Findlen said investigators had not completed their search Thursday evening and no arrests had been made.

The school was locked down as precaution while authorities secured the nearby home.
