South San Joaquin Republicans will host a debate in Manteca for candidates running in the 11th Congressional District race Jan. 11.

Candidates Tony Amador, Robert Beadles, Elizabeth Emken, Brad Goehring, Larry Pegram and Jeff Takada are expected to attend. They are running for the seat held by Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton.

South San Joaquin Republicans will introduce city captains and leaders of the Republican Women Federated and hear a report from Ana Golden and the Republican Hispanic Assembly.

Pastor Dwight Williams will speak about the Black Republican Council of San Joaquin County as well as www.alphaomegapac.org. Attendees will hear a report from the California Republican Assembly and the Pro-Life Council.

Beau Broker will update the group on Generation Joshua, a political organization for teens. Elizabeth Blanchard will discuss the Young Republican Organization for the Central Valley.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at Crossroads Grace Community Church, 1505 Moffat Blvd., Manteca.
