A 25-year-old Patterson was identified as the fatal victim in a single-car accident in Turlock on Tuesday.

Leticia Solano died from injuries suffered in the wreck at Washington Road and West Main Street, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner's Office.

Three other people, including a child, suffered injuries in the crash and were either airlifted or driven by ambulance to area hospitals, according to Lt. Ron Reid of the Turlock Police Department.

Reid said their injuries, which include broken bones, lacerations, abrasions and bruises, do not appear to be life-threatening.

Solano was riding in the front passenger seat, Reid said.

The single-car accident was first reported at 5:52 p.m. by a passer-by, Reid said.

The car, a 1996 Nissan Altima, was traveling southbound in the 400 block of N. Washington Road when it swerved off the road and into the dirt shoulder. The driver apparently lost control and went sideways into a power pole.

Reid said the accident is still under investigation. He said there were no witnesses, and it’s not known at what speed the car was traveling, if seat belts were being worn by the driver or passengers or if drugs or alcohol had any role in the accident.

Law enforcement and other emergency crews remained on the scene until 12:30 this morning, and the road has been reopened.
