Brisk, but no deluge

A forecast calling for severe weather, including high winds and plenty of rain, didn't materialize as expected in the Northern San Joaquin Valley early Friday.

The high temperature was 63 degrees and the low was 41 degrees.

The forecast for today is for partly cloudy conditions and highs in the mid-50s, with winds of 10 to 15 mph. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-60s with the sky to clear and wind decrease by Tuesday.
