Stanislaus County tech program marks 10th year

Connecting Stanislaus, a group promoting technology access, will celebrate its 10th anniversary from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at Galaxy Theaters, 2525 Patterson Road, Riverbank.

Events include a "PC construction derby" with teams competing to build computers from scratch; the official launch of a "one-stop Web site for all things Stanislaus," including health and education issues; and a graduation ceremony for Riverbank Digital Connectors participants.

Connecting Stanislaus has trained thousands of computer users at no cost and holds half-day technology summits.
