Accomplishments impressive

I commend Hamid Shirvani for his excellent leadership as president of California State University, Stanislaus.

Shirvani's record of accomplishments is impressive. Twice, the California State Student Association named him president of the Year. Only one other president has been recognized twice in the history of the CSU system.

He also established the university's first executive MBA program, and the doctor of education in educational leadership program was started under his leadership. We have also seen increased involvement from alumni, community and business with the university and many other positive improvements since he became president.

For Shirvani, academics and students will continue to be a clear priority. With his vision and leadership and the support from campus employees and students, the university will continue to excel.
