TURLOCK -- An Army National Guard unit sent soldiers, trucks and a UH 60 Blackhawk helicopter to Brown Elementary School this morning. The event was part of Veterans Awareness Week at the school.
Brown student Bradley Williams’ parents, Major Doug Williams, and Chief Warrant Officer Catalina Williams, arranged for the visit from their Fresno-based unit.
After the helicopter landed, students got to take an up-close look at it, sitting in the pilot’s seat and crawling around the interior.
