No. 1 Kansas wins an exhibition; Syracuse is stunned

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Sherron Collins scored 19 points and Cole Aldrich had 13 points and 13 rebounds, leading No. 1 Kansas past Fort Hays State 107-68 in an exhibition game Tuesday night. Xavier Henry, Kansas' 6-foot-6 prized freshman, made a 3-pointer on his first shot and finished with 14 points against the Division II Tigers.

LE MOYNE 82, SYRACUSE 79, at Syracuse, N.Y. — Christopher Johnson scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half, including a 3-pointer with 8.3 seconds remaining, and Division II Le Moyne stunned Syracuse in an exhibition game.

No. 7 PURDUE 78, CALIFORNIA OF PENN. 44, at West Lafayette, Ind. — Keaton Grant had 14 points and five steals, and the Boilermakers beat California of Pennsylvania in an exhibition game.

No. 17 OKLAHOMA 93, BRITISH COLUMBIA 53, at Norman, Okla. — Willie Warren scored 23 points and freshman Steven Pledger added 14 points as Oklahoma won its only exhibition game.

No. 9 DUKE 84, FINDLAY 48, at Durham, N.C. — Kyle Singler scored 20 points and No. 9 Duke wrapped up its preseason by routing Findlay, the defending Division II national champions.
