Man stabbed several times in Turlock

A man was stabbed in Turlock on Sunday night in the 200 block of Montana Avenue, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies, the Turlock police and paramedics were called to the scene at 8:15 p.m. and found a man who had been stabbed several times, according to Lt. Mario Cisneros.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was undergoing surgery. The extent of his injuries and his condition are not known, according to Lt. Mario Cisneros.

Officers were still at the crime scene at 10:20 p.m. and were questioning potential witnesses. Some people have been detained, but no arrests have been made, Cisneros said.
