Synopsis: Ramon Rivera Villanueva was shot to death in a west Modesto apartment on Oct. 10, police reported. The man, whose name was not released, was found dead in the 900 block of Sutter Avenue after police responded to a report of gunshots shortly after 9 a.m. Police said Villanueva, 26, was from the Los Angeles area.
Motivation: Unknown. There is no indication shooting was gang-related or a drive-by shooting, police have said.
