Future unclear for ex-MJC star

There was no word Wednesday on the future of former Davis High and Modesto Junior College star Marquell Colston, who was suspended by New Mexico State University after being charged with aggravated battery.

Police allege Colston smelled of alcohol Monday when he hit his girlfriend in the face with his fist, pinned her to the wall and squeezed her throat for 15 seconds.

He also allegedly pushed the couple's daughter and threw his girlfriend down, hitting her three times in the face with his fist.

The university said he will lose his scholarship and be kicked off the team if found guilty.

Colston has run for 249 yards and two TDs in six games with the 3-3 Aggies.
