What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

I would like to become an advocate for the students and families our District serves to provide the best educational services the budget constraints allow.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

My first priority will be to listen to the needs and desires of our students, staff and administration, and then learn how I can best implement those ideas.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

My eight years experience in the District as a classified employee have given me a unique perspective on how our schools are affected by decisions made by the Federal and State government and District administration.

I currently work as a classified substitute for Salida Union School District. I fill the positions of secretary, attendance clerk, librarian and health clerk as needed.

My husband and I filed a personal bankruptcy in 2000, due to the fact that my husband lost his career in the shipyard industry due to a diagnosis of asbestosis.
