By unanimous vote, the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday:

• Accepted a $374,000 state off-highway vehicle grant, keeping services intact at two hilly parks popular with off-roaders, one near La Grange in east Stanislaus County and at Frank Raines Regional Park in the Diablo Range, 17 miles west of Patterson.

• Placed a $10,000 cleanup lien against 508 Imperial Ave., Modesto. Crews in August demolished a fire-damaged home after officials determined that its owner did not respond to nuisance abatement orders because she was dead.

• Received the resignation of a water board vice president as urged by the civil grand jury. "I have recently moved out" of the 48-home Monterey Park Tract south of Modesto, wrote Sebastian Jones in a resignation letter.

• Agreed to allow Ceres to annex land where an $11 million, state-of-the-art animal control shelter will be built along Crows Landing Road. Ceres has similar agreements to eventually sweep other county buildings into the city limit.
