The Modesto City Council on Tuesday is scheduled to vote on:
Setting new speed limits on some city streets and putting up speed limit signs at a cost of $65 per sign. Speed limits on parts of El Vista Avenue, Floyd Avenue and Sylvan Avenue would be lowered.
Awarding a $277,372 contract to Advanced Infrastructure Technologies of Gardena to buy one sewer inspection truck for the Public Works Department
Approving an agreement with Barton's Overhead Door for the repair and maintenance of the Fire Department's bay door systems for an annual estimated cost of $25,000
Approving one additional equipment operator at the compost facility for an annual estimated cost of $60,000 in salary and benefits
Accepting a $19,080 state grant for overtime seat belt enforcement operations
Approving a $48,873 agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates of Stockton for design work on a project to enhance runway safety at Modesto's airport
Approving a two-year contract with Boyett Petroleum of Modesto to provide fuel card-lock services for the Public Works Department at an estimated annual cost of $1,551,090
The council meets at 5:30 p.m. in the basement chambers of Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St.
