This week: Candidate forums

It's the last week of the month, so a slow time for local government meetings. But there are at least two candidate forums:

Wednesday: District 4, Modesto City Council at 6 p.m.; Modesto Board of Education at 7 p.m. Both forums are held in the council chamber at Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St. They will be broadcast on Comcast Channel 7 and Charter Channel 19. Call in questions to 342-6278 or 342-6290 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Thursday: Turlock Unified School District board at 6:30 p.m. in the Walnut Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room, 4219 N. Walnut Road. Forum will be rebroadcast on Charter Channel 2.
