Board Member/Turlock Unified School District

What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

I am an incumbent and believe that I am prepared to be part of the board that will bring the District through these trying times in public education.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

The Board adopted a new strategic plan this year, and I am very excited about working over the next few years to achieve our mission.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

My twelve years of experience, training, and perspective into the needs and challenges of each of our schools make me uniquely qualified for this office.

I am a homemaker and a volunteer

I was born January 25, 1958 in Denver, CO.

What is your spouse's name, if any?

My husband is Dr. M. Scott Renshaw, DDS.

What are the names and ages of your children, if any?

I have five children: Travis (26); Maren McKellar (24); Jared (19); Kirk (17); and Morgan (15).

I graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1980 with a BA in Communications.

I am currently a board member of the Turlock Unified School District and have been for six years.

Before we unified, I served as a board member of the Turlock Joint Elementary School District from 1997to 2003.

Approximately how much money do you expect to spend on your campaign?

I expect to spend around $500.00.
