Sonora defeats Johansen at home, 28-15

SONORA -- Dan Link rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Sonora Wildcats to a season-opening victory over the visiting Johansen Vikings of Modesto.

Link, who did his damage in 15 rushing attempts, scored on runs of 65 and 4 yards.

Ricky McColloch returned an interception 40 yards for a score for Sonora, which also got a 21-yard touchdown run from Irl Barajas.
