Big Valley Travel Club sets slate of fall trips

The Big Valley Travel Club has several small group trips coming up:

• Sept. 8: Gourmet lunch at the Steinbeck House in Salinas and the Steinbeck Museum; $65

• Sept. 21-23: Hearst Castle and Cambria; $295 includes transportation, hotel with breakfast, tour of the castle, one dinner, wine tasting.

• Sept. 29: Tour of Alcatraz and day in San Francisco; $79

• Oct. 14: "No Sex Please, We're British," 2 p.m. matinee, comedy at Sierra Rep Theater; $65

• Oct. 17: VIP tour of Montalvo Estate and Gardens in Los Gatos; $65

• Oct. 23: A day at Apple Hill near Placerville; $55

• Oct. 28: "Wicked," show in San Francisco, 2 p.m., two hours at Pier 39; $125

• Nov. 5: A day at Yosemite; $60 includes transportation, park entry, special gifts; lunch at Awahnee $15, valley sightseeing tour $20.
