Mariposa County man dies after fall at Yosemite National Park

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK -- Yosemite National Park officials say a 62-year-old Mariposa County man is dead after falling on rocky terrain.

Park officials say the body of Keith Robinson of Midpines was found Tuesday near Windy Point, a paved pull-out area alongside Highway 140 near the Arch Rock entrance to the park.

After failing to return home Monday evening from a fishing trip, he was reported missing Tuesday morning.

Rangers pronounced him dead at the scene from injuries from the fall. The National Park Service is investigating, and the Mariposa County coroner's office plans an autopsy.
