It's Kids' Free Night at the Stanislaus County Fair. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free. Here's what else is going on:
HIGHLIGHTS: Meet Dora the Explorer and Diego, 5:15 to 9:30 p.m.; Rainforest Adventure exhibit, 5 to 11 p.m.; 4-H and FFA Holsteins judging, 9 a.m.; container gardens demo, 7 p.m.
ARENA: CCPRA Rodeo, 7 p.m., free with fair admission.
VARIETY FREE STAGE: Nat and Alex Wolff, 8:30 p.m.
CENTER STAGE: Chico Avila, 8:30 to 11 p.m.
COMMUNITY STAGE: Highway 99, 5:45 to 8:30 p.m.
CHARTER STAGE: Dora and Diego, 5:15 to 9:30 p.m.; Hypnotist Suzy Haner, 10 p.m.
HOURS: Gates open at 5 p.m.; exhibit buildings close at 11 p.m.; carnival closes at midnight.
PARK 'N' RIDE: 4:30 to 11 p.m.; park free and ride free from CSU, Stanislaus, (Crowell Road off Monte Vista Avenue) or Pitman High School (Christoffersen Parkway). Shuttles run every 15 to 20 minutes.
WHERE: From Highway 99, exit at Fulkerth Road in Turlock and head east. For fairgrounds parking, turn right on Soderquist Road, or go past Soderquist for more parking; $4 per vehicle.
ADMISSION: $10 for adults, free today for kids 12 and under (regularly $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for ages 5 and younger).
