Free seat checks in Denair on Saturday

Modesto police and Stanislaus County sheriff's officials will help parents learn how to use their children's safety seats from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Denair.

The child safety seat inspections will be in the parking lot at Church of the Nazarene, 3200 E. Monte Vista Ave., just east of N. Waring Road.

The event is free and open to the public. Certified child safety seat technicians will help parents ensure their children are riding in appropriate seats for their age, weight and height.

Residents who can't attend Saturday's event and would like to have their child safety seat inspected can schedule an appointment by calling Modesto police at 572-9500.
