-- Name: Gustavo Orosco, 19, of Manteca

Synopsis: One teenager died and another was injured in a June 1 shooting in Empire after a group of men approached them and asked if they were affiliated with a gang, a Stanislaus County sheriff's spokesman said. Deputy Royjindar Singh said Gustavo Orosco, 19, of Manteca was taken by an ambulance to a Modesto hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He said a 19-year-old Riverbank man was still at a hospital, where he was being treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. Sheriff's officials did not release his name, citing safety concerns. Detectives were seeking witnesses and did not have descriptions of the suspects, nor did they know how many people were involved. The shooting occurred about 10:50 p.m. at El Primo's Mariscos taco truck in the 4900 block of Yosemite Boulevard, in front of El Primo's Nightclub.
