MODESTO -- Name: Alma Reed

Synopsis: Modesto police say Alma Reed, 50, was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle as she crossed Yosemite Boulevard near Camellia Way on May 1. A man came to her aid and, police say, a second vehicle hit the two of them. That vehicle stopped. Reed died from her injuries. Police continue to look for the hit-and-run vehicle.
