Modesto police and the county district attorney's office are not investigating any wrongdoing in the case of a Modesto City Schools business official placed on paid administrative leave Monday, according to representatives for the organizations.

Debbe Bailey, deputy superintendent of business services, cleaned out her office this week after being placed on paid administrative leave by Superintendent Arturo Flores. Neither would discuss specifics of the move. When reached at home Thursday, Bailey declined to comment on her plans.

Bailey has been with the district since 1986 and in her current post since 2000. Dennis Snelling, director of business services, and Julie Chapin, budget manager, are taking over Bailey's duties in her absence.

Bailey earns $165,000 a year and her employment contract runs through June 2010.
