Jury selection starts in Fresno this morning in the trial of Raul DeLeon, a retired Stanislaus County sheriff's captain accused of lying to investigators and conspiring to obstruct justice in connection with the Road Dog motorcycle shop racketeering case.
DeLeon, 52, is charged with four counts of making false statements to investigators and one count of conspiring to obstruct justice.
Prosecutors filed a motion Thursday requesting a hearing on whether defense attorney Paul Q. Goyette has a conflict of interest, because, they say, he has represented DeLeon before.
