Three patterson high students awarded $20k scholarships

Three Patterson High School seniors have been named Dell Scholars. Zachary Obeid, Darlene Ruiz and Chelsea Taylor are among the 106 California high school seniors named to the program by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. Michael Dell is the founder of Dell Inc., the computer company.

The Patterson students will receive $20,000 each to continue their education beyond high school over the next six years. The Dell Scholars Program also will provide them with technology, mentoring and other help to ensure that the students have the support they need to graduate from college.
