MODESTO -- Name: Barkho Slefo

Synopsis: On April 13, at about 9:55 p.m., Modesto officers responded to Japonica Way and Lincoln Avenue to investigate the report of shots fired with a possible shooting victim. When officers arrived, they found the male victim inside of a vehicle near the intersection. The victim, later identified as 19-year-old Slefo, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Motivation: Homicide detectives are investigating the possibility that this homicide is gang related.

Suspect: Open
