Name: Matthew Wilson

Synopsis: Wilson, 44, of Modesto was discovered about 3:30 a.m. in the 3700 block of Bridgeford Lane. He had been socializing with a group of men in an apartment on Bridgeford. Some of them, including the victim, walked to another apartment, where a fight took place. Police said Wilson participated, but they have not determined whether he was a victim or an instigator. After the fight, police say, Wilson appeared to go to sleep. Someone checked on him later and found he was not breathing. His cause of death was strangulation, according to the coroner's office.
