TURLOCK -- Name: Ignacio Alvarez
Synopsis: Police found Alvarez, 41, of Turlock lying in the grass in front of an apartment complex in the 1000 block of West Canal Drive at 10:16 p.m. He had been stabbed at least once in the upper torso. Police said he was visiting someone in one of the apartments. Alvarez was taken to Emanuel Medical Center and died there, police said.
Motivation: Detective J.D. McWilliams said a "personal issue" between Delreal and Alvarez was the motive for the stabbing.
Suspect: Jose Delreal of Ceres was arrested at the Stanislaus County Jail on July 30, where he's serving time for assault with a deadly weapon in an unrelated incident, according to Turlock police spokesman Sgt. Nino Amirfar.
