Modesto man guilty in domestic violence case

A Modesto man was found guilty this week on a charge of domestic violence, according to the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office.

Kerry Brian Grant, 45, who pleaded no contest, was living with the victim, and the two became involved in an argument.

Grant, who had been on probation for domestic violence against the same woman, allegedly grabbed the victim’s face, causing a bloody gouge above and below her right eye.

Judge John Whiteside sentenced Grant to two years in jail.
