Name: Charles Clem

Synopsis: Clem, 57, was found April 2 beaten to death along the river by the Dryden Golf Course. He was living in a homeless encampment. Earlier that morning, a witness heard someone yelling for help. The witness went to find help and, upon returning to the camp, found the man dead. According to his obituary, Clem was born in Okemah, Okla., and was very fond of fishing.

Authorities ask anyone with information about this homicide to call Detective Dale Lingerfelt of the Modesto Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit at 572-9551 or Crime Stoppers at 521-4636.
